Explores Freud's imagination at work, as evidenced in his paper, "The Moses of Michelangelo," published in 1914. It is contended that Freud's fascination with the statue derived from unresolved conflicts out of Freud's infantile past, of his contemporary external world, and of a transference nature toward his own creation, psychoanalysis. |
