Efficacy and safety of deep transcranial magnetic stimulation for obsessive-compulsive disorder / Lior Carmi en The American Journal of Psychiatry, Año 2019 - Vol. 176 - No. 11 (Noviembre)
[artículo]
Título : Efficacy and safety of deep transcranial magnetic stimulation for obsessive-compulsive disorder : a prospective multicenter randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Lior Carmi, Autor ; Aron Tendler, Autor ; Alexander Bystritsky, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2020 Artículo en la página: pp. 931-938 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Trastorno obsesivo compulsivo, Estimulación magnética transcraneal profunda, TMS Resumen: Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a chronic and disabling condition that often responds unsatisfactorily to pharmacological and psychological treatments. Converging evidence suggests a dysfunction of the cortical-striatal-thalamic-cortical circuit in OCD, and a previous feasibility study indicated beneficial effects of deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) targeting the medial prefrontal cortex and the anterior cingulate cortex. Título : Side effects and time course of response in a placebo-controlled trial of fluoxetine for the treatment of geriatric depression Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Deborah L. Ackerman, Autor ; Sander Greenland, Autor ; Alexander Bystritsky, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2023 Artículo en la página: pp. 658-665 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Intervalos de confianza, Depresión, Fluoxetina Resumen: A high rate of improvement among patients who receive placebo in controlled trials of antidepressants can complicate the evaluation of true drug effect. Placebo response may be a reaction to the psychosocial factors of study participation or a function of changes in the natural course of depression. Drug side effects may also influence patients' expectations, and they should be distinguished from the somatic symptoms associated with major depression. Link: ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=31157
