Título : Chronic lithium administration enhances noradrenergic responses to intravenous administration of the α2 antagonist idazoxan in healthy volunteers Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Aysegül Özerdem, Autor ; Mark E. Schmidt, Autor ; Husseini K. Manji, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2023 Artículo en la página: pp. 150-154 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Antagonistas alfa adrenérgicos, Agentes antimaníacos, Hemodinámica, Idazoxano, Carbonato de litio, Noradrenalina, Características sexuales Resumen: The acute and chronic effects of lithium carbonate administration at therapeutic blood levels on peripheral noradrenergic activity and sympathetic responses to α2 adrenoceptor blockade were examined in 10 medically and psychiatrically healthy volunteers. Supine resting levels of plasma norepinephrine and the increases in norepinephrine following intravenous infusion of 200 μg/kg of idazoxan, a selective α2 adrenoceptor antagonist, were determined before lithium (Li+) administration and after 5 days and after 4 weeks of daily Li+ treatment. Título : Executive dysfunction and cognitive subgroups in a large sample of euthymic patients with bipolar disorder Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Emre Bora, Autor ; Ceren Hidiroglu, Autor ; Aysegül Özerdem, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2021 Artículo en la página: pp. 1338-1347 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Trastorno bipolar, Neurocognición, Heterogeneidad cognitiva, Análisis de clases latentes Resumen: Bipolar disorder (BP), at the group level, is associated with significant but modest cognitive deficits, including executive dysfunction. Among executive functions, response inhibition deficits have been suggested to be particularly relevant to BP. Link: ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=26527
