Título : Do clinical trials of treatment of alcohol dependence adequately enroll participants with co-occurring independent mood and anxiety disorders? An analysis of data from the National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions (NESARC) Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Nicolas Hoertel, Autor ; Bruno Falissard, Autor ; Keith Humphreys, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2022 Artículo en la página: pp. 231-237 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Alcoholismo, Trastornos de ansiedad, Trastornos del estado de ánimo. Resumen: In the care of alcohol-dependent patients, co-occurring independent (ie, not substance-induced) mood and anxiety disorders present a significant challenge. Clinical trials of alcohol dependence treatment could help clinicians meet this challenge, but only if they enroll such complex patients. This study examined whether such individuals are likely to be included in alcohol dependence treatment trials under typical eligibility criteria. Link: ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=27808

Título : Is DSM-IV bereavement exclusion for major depression relevant to treatment response? A case control, prospective study Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Emmanuelle Corruble, Autor ; Bruno Falissard, Autor ; Philip Gorwood, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2022 Artículo en la página: pp. 898-902 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Antidepresivos, Trastornos de ansiedad, Duelo, Trastorno depresivo mayor, Dolor, Psicometría Resumen: The aim of the bereavement exclusion criterion for the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) major depressive episode (MDE) is to identify subjects with a modest, self-limited, "normal" depressive syndrome. One would therefore expect less severe depressive symptoms and a different and better outcome for bereaved subjects who were excluded from the diagnosis of MDE as compared to MDE controls. In a previous cross-sectional study, we have shown such expectations were not met. Link: ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28020
