Based on the idea that the transient and often neglected phase between subjective infancy and the more objective perceptions of childhood may be the source of later attitudes, dreaming, creativity, cultural experience, and the hidden rivalries between male and female elements are discussed in terms of their connection to the objects of childhood (e.g., teddy bears). |
