Resumen:	There is a variety of ways in which a mother's neurosis or personality disturbance can act unfavorably on a child's development; and there is a variety of ways in which the interaction of the partners in the preoedipal mother relationship can be explored. In our Hampstead Child-Therapy Clinic the method of choice is the procedure outlined by Dorothy Burlingham in her paper "Simultaneous Analysis of Mother and Child."
