Hematologic reference ranges in a population of patients with schizophrenia / Simon N. Voss en Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology, Año 2000 - Vol. 20 - No. 6 (Diciembre)
[artículo]
Título : Hematologic reference ranges in a population of patients with schizophrenia Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Simon N. Voss, Autor ; Todd Sanger, Autor ; Charles M. Beasley, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2023 Artículo en la página: pp. 653-657 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Antipsicóticos, Negros afroamericanos, Pruebas - hematológia, Leucocitos, Olanzapina, Pirenzepina, Esquizofrenia. Resumen: The potential hematotoxic effects of antipsychotic drugs are well known and may limit the use of some effective therapies. Although some previous studies have suggested that patients with schizophrenia may have altered "normal" values, only limited data were available. It is now believed that biological values do not usually follow a normal distribution; therefore, reference ranges are frequently used when interpreting laboratory tests in clinical practice and in research. Título : Olanzapine plasma concentrations and clinical response: acute phase results of the north american olanzapine trial Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Paul J. Perry, Autor ; Brian C. Lund, Autor ; Todd Sanger, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2023 Artículo en la página: pp. 14-20 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Antipsicóticos, Benzodiazepinas, Pirenzepina, Esquizofrenia. Resumen: Olanzapine is an atypical antipsychotic that is effective in the treatment of schizophrenia. Olanzapine plasma concentrations ≥ 9.3 ng/mL (24 hours postdose) have been identified as a predictor of clinical response in acutely ill patients with schizophrenia. The authors report a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis of 12-hour olanzapine concentrations and treatment response from the North American Double-Blind Olanzapine Trial.
