Jealousy is often imputed to psychopathology in the protagonist. Psychodynamically, it can be attributed to an ego‐deficiency, chronic insecurity, or a deflected libidinal drive. We propose that, when a primary love relationship is threatened, jealousy is best understood from a systems perspective. |
