Ms. A’s presentation is consistent with opioid use disorder (OUD), severe, as evidenced by escalating amounts of opioid use over time, unsuccessful attempts to quit or cut down use, craving, continued use despite persistent interpersonal problems and health consequences, and spending an excessive amount of time obtaining opioids. |
