Resumen:	Over the years, the psychiatric inpatient treatment paradigm has shifted to more brief stays focused on acute stabilization and psychopharmacologic-focused interventions, rather than individual psychotherapeutic engagement. Unfortunately, this has allowed patients with complex interpersonal dynamics, particularly borderline personality disorder, to slip through the cracks of effective treatment.
