Genetic heterogeneity across dimensions of alcohol use behaviors / Jeanne Savage en The American Journal of Psychiatry, Año 2024 - Vol. 181 - No. 11 (Noviembre)
[artículo]
Título : Genetic heterogeneity across dimensions of alcohol use behaviors Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Jeanne Savage, Autor ; Peter B. Barr, Autor ; Tanya Phung, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2024 Artículo en la página: pp. 1006-1017 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Alcohol, GWAS, Genética - Genómica, Modelado de ecuaciones estructurales genómicas, Trastornos adictivos y relacionados con sustancias. Resumen: Increasingly large samples in genome-wide association studies (GWASs) for alcohol use behaviors (AUBs) have led to an influx of implicated genes, yet the clinical and functional understanding of these associations remains low, in part because most GWASs do not account for the complex and varied manifestations of AUBs. Título : A genetically informed study of the longitudinal relation between irritability and anxious/depressed symptoms Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Jeanne Savage, Autor ; Brad Verhulst, Autor ; William E. Copeland, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2020 Artículo en la página: pp. 377–384 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: Irritabilidad, Ansiedad, Depresión, Genética, Gemelos Resumen: Little is known about the longitudinal genetic and environmental association between juvenile irritability and symptoms of anxiety and depression. This study’s goal was to assess the relationship between these constructs across a critical developmental period spanning childhood to young adulthood. Link: ./index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=22526

Título : Item level genome wide association study of the alcohol use disorders identification test in three population based cohorts Tipo de documento: texto impreso Autores: Travis T. Mallard, Autor ; Jeanne Savage, Autor ; Emma C. Johnson, Autor Fecha de publicación: 2022 Artículo en la página: pp. 58-70 Idioma : Inglés (eng) Idioma original : Inglés (eng) Palabras clave: GWAS, Trastornos adictivos relacionados con sustancias, Alcohol, Modelado de ecuaciones estructurales genómicas, Consumo de alcohol, ALSPAC Resumen: Genome-wide association studies (GWASs) of the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), a 10-item screen for alcohol use disorder (AUD), have elucidated novel loci for alcohol consumption and misuse. However, these studies also revealed that GWASs can be influenced by numerous biases (e.g., measurement error, selection bias), which may have led to inconsistent genetic correlations between alcohol involvement and AUD, as well as paradoxically negative genetic correlations between alcohol involvement and psychiatric disorders and/or medical conditions.
