Resumen: 300 children (aged 7–11 yrs) and parents were interviewed using the Diagnostic Interval Schedule for Children to examine the prevalence and correlates of anxiety disorders (ADs) in children. A high 1-yr prevalence of ADs was found, but the prevalence rate for ADs based on parent interviews alone was only half as high as the rate based on child interviews alone.
